Based near Lutterworth, Leicester, the popular Ullesthorpe Court Hotel required new boilers to increase reliability and reduce costs of servicing and repair. Ideal Commercial were all too happy to help, with two Evomax 2 boilers cascaded on one of our Frame and Header kits along with a Low Loss Header providing the perfect heating solution. About Ullesthorpe Court Hotel and Its Heating Requirements
Ullesthorpe Court Hotel and Golf Club is a Best Western Plus hotel based in the East Midlands. The 17th-century manor house has performed many roles in its near 300-year life, from being a farm in the 1800s and a hospital for soldiers during World War I to its current role of a hotel from 1982.
The hotel’s old boilers had come to the end of their life, starting to cost the business money for servicing and repairs. It was much more time, energy and cost efficient to replace the heating system.
Since 1998, Hinckley Plumbing and Heating Services Ltd has been providing commercial, domestic and industrial plumbing and heating installations - including providing plumbing services for Ullesthorpe Court Hotel. Phil Baskerville, maintenance manager of the hotel, says: “We have worked with Hinckley Plumbing since well before my time here. Ideal Commercial’s Evomax 2 Provided the Perfect Fit
Launched in October 2019, the Evomax 2 incorporates all of the latest technology from Ideal Commercial. The range can easily be cascaded in-line or back-to-back, offering a total output of 900kW in one cascade formation - perfect for commercial properties.
Two Evomax 2 120kW boilers were installed in the plant room at Ullesthorpe Court Hotel, chosen to allow for fewer boilers and a smaller footprint due to the additional outputs in its LPG range. They were cascaded on one of Ideal Commercial’s Frame and Header kits along with a Low Loss Header to ensure added protection to the boilers.
Because of the much higher outputs, the hotel could reduce the number of boilers from three to two. This means less servicing, less potential breakdowns and the ability to run the demand on just one boiler if needed - reducing any downtime and increasing the efficiency of the heating system.
The Evomax 2 has been specifically designed to improve installation, maintenance and servicing. Included in the new design is:
- An in-built non-return valve, allowing for increased safety for common flue installations
- A lift weight reduction of up to 10% to aid installation
- The ability to remove three sides of the chassis, offering ease for future service and maintenance
- An addition of 100kW and 120kW LPG outputs added to the range
